Life in Albania

Life in Albania is still very simple. When you arrive in the country, you will see the impact which history has left in this country. The first impact which you will notice is from capitalism, the moment you arrive the taxi drivers will fight over which one will provide the service to you. Albania is a place where everything is paid for. There are no water fountains with drinkable water to refill your empty water bottles. At a restaurant you have to purchase water and water is not provided for you at a table unless you ask. English is not widely spoken, and services are provided for cheap but not at a good level. At times not worth what you have paid for, and at times as a tourist you will be taken advantage of.
